Details

Lina Kohandani

is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght.

Lina recently completed her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. She discovered her skill for oral and written advocacy early in law school, competing extensively in moots and solving diverse litigation matters for clients across multiple clinics. In her first year, she participated in the Lerners Cup, where she was a finalist and distinguished oralist, and the Baby Jessup Moot, where she was a semi-finalist and distinguished oralist. She later competed in the Cassels Cup (Baby Gale) and the Wilson Moot, where her team placed second. In her final year, she represented Osgoode at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot, helping the team advance to the quarter-finals and finish eighth globally. Lina was also a member of the Osgoode Mooting Society, where she helped coach the Baby Gale team, mentoring first-year students in developing their advocacy skills.

In her first year, Lina served as a junior caseworker and language interpreter for Osgoode’s Community & Legal Aid Services Program in the immigration division. Lina also served as a student caseworker at the Investor Protection Clinic, where she assisted vulnerable investors with securities litigation matters.

Prior to law school, Lina earned her Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. She played varsity ringette and worked in consulting, experiences that honed her teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and are qualities that continue to shape her approach to legal work.
