Anu* is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght. She obtained her JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. Anu has a§ passion for legal advocacy and community involvement. As a law student, Anu pursued these passions through the Smith Shield Moot and Gale Cup Moot. She also volunteered her time to Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) and the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies. At PBSC, Anu provided intellectual property assistance to marginalized community members aiming to reintegrate through music and the arts. She also created a guide for self-represented litigants navigating the civil appeal process. Anu sees the vision and is able to locate unique solutions to address complex and evolving legal challenges. She is a tireless advocate and problem-solver. .

Anu Sidhu (she/her)

is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght.

Anu completed her JD at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. As a law student, Anu passionately served Pro Bono Students Canada in a variety of roles. She volunteered for a non-profit assisting marginalized community members to reintegrate through music and the arts and lent her time to the Nova Scotia Access to Justice and Law Reform Institute in a project assisting self-represented litigants navigate the appeal process. Anu also volunteered her time to the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies.

Anu pursued her passion for advocacy through mooting in law school. She was invited to participate in the 2024 Smith Shield Moot – the law school’s not-for-credit mooting exhibition with a tradition dating back to 1927 – and won the A.S. Patillo Prize for her advocacy.

Prior to law school, Anu completed an Honours Political Science degree with a research specialization at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her research focused on the socioeconomic impact of departmental reorganization within the federal government on Indigenous communities.
