Malcolm* is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght. Keen to develop his advocacy and research skills, Malcolm has participated in numerous moot competitions throughout law school and has achieved great successes. In all his advocacy work, Malcolm speaks§ with persuasive clarity, effectively handling the complexities of the matter at hand, using strategy to craft a thoughtful and tailored approach. Beyond the courtroom, Malcolm enjoys playing Chess and rock climbing. He is also currently learning Spanish. .

Malcolm McCarron (he/him)

is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght.

Malcolm graduated from Western University, Faculty of Law in 2025 where he has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning recognition as one of the top 15 students in his class. He has a strong passion for advocacy, competing in several moot competitions, including the Hicks Morley Labour & Employment Moot, the BLG Labour Arbitration Moot, the WLHA Medical Malpractice Moot, and the Bowman National Tax Moot, where he achieved semifinalist status and was the top-ranked appellant oralist.

Beyond mooting, during his time at Western Law, Malcolm worked as a research assistant, contributing to the editing and proofreading of the latest edition of Fridman’s The Law of Contract in Canada. He also worked as a caseworker with the Western Intellectual Property & Innovation Legal Clinic, where he assisted clients with a range of intellectual property matters.

Prior to his legal studies, Malcolm earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Western University, completing an honours thesis on semiconductor efficiency measurement techniques. Before his transition from science to law, he worked with the Ontario Provincial Government, developing a software to optimize vaccine distribution across Ontario during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
