Erin* is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght. Erin graduated from the Dual JD program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. She is an executive member of Windsor’s Criminal Law Association and Women and the Law, where she advocates§ for important legal perspectives within the profession. Prior to law school, Erin demonstrated her commitment to service in her roles as a caseworker with the John Howard Society of Ontario and as a court clerk for the Ministry of Attorney General, where she served with with purpose . She continues to volunteer her time at the Community Legal Aid in Windsor and the Federal Pro Se Clinic at the Eastern Michigan District Court. .

Details

Erin Menzies (she/her)

is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght.

At Windsor Law, Erin served as a caseworker at Community Legal Aid in Windsor and the Federal Pro Se Clinic at the Eastern Michigan District Court. She also served as the teaching assistant for the 1L Comparative Legal Writing and Research course, where she assisted students through the development of foundational legal skills while also conducting faculty research on electronic search and seizure laws at international borders.

Erin’s commitment to advocacy and leadership is reflected in her roles as an executive member of Windsor’s Criminal Law Association and Women and the Law, where she advocates for important legal perspectives within the profession. Her academic excellence has also been recognized with two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Legal Writing and Research and Cross Border Sales and Financial Transactions, awards given to the student achieving the highest grade in the class.

Prior to law school, Erin worked as a caseworker with the John Howard Society of Ontario and as a court clerk with the Ministry of the Attorney General, roles that highlight her commitment to service and purpose.
