Lenczner Slaght Litigators Ranked as the Best in their Fields

Canada’s leading litigation firm is proud to announce that 25 of the firm’s 58 lawyers have been recognized in the Best Lawyers in Canada 2019 publication across multiple categories.

While Colin Johnston and Lawrence E. Thacker are new additions to the list, 11 of the firm’s lawyers have been ranked for five years, and six lawyers have been ranked since the inaugural edition in 2006.

In addition, we received the “Law Firm of the Year” award in both Appellate Practice and Medical Negligence. Further, Peter Griffin is named “Lawyer of the Year” in Legal Malpractice Law, Jaan Lilles is named "Lawyer of the Year" in Health Care Law and Tom Curry is named "Lawyer of the Year" in Medical Negligence. Each were recognized for having the highest overall peer-feedback in their practice areas in Toronto.

Rankings for the Best Lawyers guide are chosen through peer review by other leading lawyers in the area, along with an international Board of Advisors. Congratulations to all who are ranked!

About Best Lawyers in Canada

Best Lawyers in Canada has conducted peer reviews of Canadian lawyers for 11 years, publishing the first edition of its directory in 2006. Peers are asked to rate nominees on how likely they would be to refer a matter to the nominee if they were unable to handle the matter themselves. Its international Board of Advisors also contributes to its understanding of the legal landscape.
