NADIA CAMPION is an associate at Lenczner Slaght.
Her civil litigation practice encompasses, among other things, commercial disputes, shareholder oppression applications, professional liability, wrongful dismissal suits and class proceedings. She appears regularly before the Superior Court of Justice and has an active practice before the Toronto Commercial List. She has also been involved in mediations and arbitrations, as well as other alternative dispute resolution activities. Nadia also provides advice to health professionals and has appeared before the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, as well as other administrative tribunals, including the Ontario Municipal Board.
Nadia recently spent eight months on secondment with a securities dealer providing assistance on various securities law matters, such as broker/dealer liability, regulatory compliance and capital markets litigation. In this position, she provided frequent legal advice on employment law matters, including terminations, fiduciary duties and the obligations of departing employees. In addition, she regularly assisted with regulatory investigations and proceedings before the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, the Ontario Securities Commission and the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments.
Nadia has a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science from McGill University. She also obtained an LL.B. from the Faculty of Law at Ottawa University (Magna Cum Laude) and a J.D. from Michigan State University's School of Law (Summa Cum Laude). She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Advocates' Society.
