PINTA MAGUIRE is an associate at Lenczner Slaght.
Pinta has a B.A. in Political Science from Queen's University and earned a LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, specializing in Litigation, Disputes and the Administration of Justice. While at Osgoode, Pinta was awarded the Dickson Medal as the first place oralist at the Gale Cup Moot. Pinta completed her articles at Lenczner Slaght prior to her call to the bar.
Pinta's civil litigation practice encompasses professional negligence, commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, estates litigation and employment litigation. She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Toronto Commercial List. Pinta has also been involved in arbitrations involving significant commercial matters.
Pinta has advised health professionals and has appeared before the Health Review and Appeal Board and other administrative tribunals, including the College of Psychologists. Pinta also prosecutes for the College of Psychologists and the College of Massage Therapists. She also provides assistance to self-represented litigants through LawHelp Ontario at the Superior Court of Justice. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Advocates' Society.

Calloway Reit (Westgate) Inc. v. Michaels Of Canada, ULC, 2009 CanLII 7760 (ON S.C.) - successful lease contract interpretation application on behalf of the commercial landlord to enforce the rent obligations of the tenant.
G.J. et al. v. W.D. Holdings Limited et. al. (Commercial List), Reasons released January 16, 2009 - successfully brought motion to strike portions of an affidavit making reference to privileged settlement communications and resisted cross-motion to strike portions of an affidavit referring to the complex personal history between the parties.
C.B. v. P.D. (Div. Ct.), January 15, 2009 - successfully resisted leave to appeal motion to divisional court on behalf of respondent physicians.
Akal Funeral Home et. al. v. Sikh Spiritual Centre (decision released April 17, 2007) - motion for interim injunctive relief to restrain the Respondents from constructing and/or demolishing a building.
The College of Psychologists v. Dr. P (reasons released February 23, 2007) – prosecution of a Psychologist for professional misconduct.
Harraher v. Basic, [2006] O.J. No. 3025 - successful trial of an action requiring tenants to pay for property damage inflicted during a residential tenancy.
