LAWRENCE THACKER is a partner at Lenczner Slaght.  His practice includes commercial litigation, mergers and acquisitions litigation, securities litigation, professional discipline matters, class action proceedings, commercial arbitrations and insolvency and restructuring litigation.

Lawrence has a BA (Hons.) in Politics and Philosophy and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Toronto. He read law at Oxford and received a BA (Hons.) in Jurisprudence in 1992. Lawrence then attended Dalhousie University Law School and received an LL B in 1993. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995.

Lawrence is actively involved in legal education. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto, Department of Political Science, where he teaches International Law, and an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School where he teaches Trial Advocacy. Lawrence is a Team Leader and Instructor in the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop at Osgoode Hall Law School and he is a frequent instructor for The Advocates’ Society, where he teaches trial advocacy skills.

He was recognized by Lexpert in 2006 as one of the 25 Cross-Border Litigators to Watch.
