ANDREW SKODYN is a partner at Lenczner Slaght.

Andrew's practice is focused on commercial and intellectual property litigation, with particular emphasis on patent litigation.

Andrew has represented clients in patent infringement and impeachment actions in a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals and life sciences, manufacturing, agriculture, and oil and gas.  He also has broad commercial litigation experience, acting for a wide range of clients, including cases in the areas of information technology, banking and bills of exchange, professional liability, product liability and commercial leasing. 

Andrew's experience as counsel includes trials, applications and appeals before all levels of the Ontario and Federal courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as in numerous mediations and private arbitrations.

In the pharmaceutical sector, Andrew has substantial trial and appeal experience, having been counsel in several lengthy trials and high-profile appeals.  He has also served as counsel in numerous applications under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations and has significant experience in preparing patent opinions and advising clients with respect to regulatory issues.
